Aims and Scopes
The aim of the workshop is to gather doctorate students and resarchers working in dynamical systems and in geometric group theory, through the study of various groups of dynamical origin. These notably include topological full groups and their applications in geometric group theory, which have been used in the last five years to provide various new types of amenable groups. Connections with the study of groups of diffeomorphisms will also be explored. The program will include introductory lectures on symbolic dynamics and about topological full groups.
