Jtalk is a Jabber client that provides an interface somewhat similar to the
historic Unix Talk system. Jtalk is distributed under the terms of the GNU
General Public Licence.

Note: jtalk is not a full-featured Jabber client. It focuses only on the
presence and messages. To handle your rooster, undate your information,
create accounts and so on, you need another, more complete, Jabber client.

For install instructions, see the INSTALL file. For user's manual, see the
manual.html file.

Known bugs

Reconnect to TLS servers is broken. Use loudmouth 1.1 with the trivial patch
from <URL: http://lists.imendio.com/pipermail/loudmouth/2006-May/001191.html >.

Hard crash of the server may not be detected if jtalk is idle. There are
plans to add keepalive packets.
