Crosses and genetic markers for my D. simulans-D. sechellia QTL crosses
Fly Crosses
All were done at 25C, 12:12 light-dark cycle for the first QTL (july
2004) and no light-cycle for the second QTL analysis (oct 2004)
Before use, paper was put in each tube and the tube was stored at 25C for one day.
The morphological phenotypes screened were:
forked (f): bent chaete
net (nt): wing veins disrupted
ebony (e): body color dark
pm+scarlet (st): orange eye
st: eye color close to normal but more orange than normal
pm: eye not bright, dark red, whitish reflection
