About me: I am a trained mathematician and computer scientist with expertise in cryptography, higher category theory and computational biology.

Since November 2022, I am a Program Manager and Senior Research Scientist at ParityBit Technologies Inc. My research at ParityBit currently applies to cryptography, cloud computing, computational biology, and, more generally, to privacy enhancing technologies.

From December 2018 to January 2022, I was a postdoctoral associate at MIT CSAIL under the supervision of Manolis Kellis. My work in Kellis lab focused on applying my mathematical knowledge to the design of analytical methods for genomics and machine learning.

From December 2020 to November 2021, I collaborated with the Koch Institute at MIT under the supervision of Leonard Guarante. My work in Guarante lab focused on analyzing genomic data to find causal variants through GWAS-inspired techniques.

From February 2017 to November 2018, I was a postdoctoral associate at MIT under the supervision of David Spivak. My work at that time focused on applying category theory methods to biology and computer science.

From March 2012 to September 2016, I did my PhD in Mathematics, at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia), under the supervision of Michael Batanin (first supervisor) and Steve Lack (second supervisor). My PhD thesis is about the proof of the Homotopy Hypothesis for Grothendieck's ∞-groupoids (Pursuing stacks, 1983).

In 2010, I was introduced to research in post-quantum cryptography through an intership at Macquarie University (Sydney, Australia), under the supervision of Ron Steinfeild. My research resulted in the optimization of the cyphertext/key size complexity of an LWE-based trapdoor function and encryption scheme [SSTX09], reducing it from $O(n^2\mathsf{log}(n)^2)$ to $O(n\mathsf{log}(n))$.

My research interests more widely concern the relationships between category theory, algebraic topology, combinatorics, logics, computer science, biology and physics.
