Hubert M.J.Cantalloube

Education:

-I made my secondary studies at the Collège militaire de St Cyr a sort of army cadet academy located close to the Versailles palace.

-Then I made graduate school preparation (Math'sup./math'spé.) at Lycée Sainte Geneviève in Versailles, and qualified for École Normale Supérieure, École Polytechnique, École des Mines de Paris, École Centrale des Arts et Manufacture.

-Later I joined the École Normale Supérieure in Paris as a math student, and graduated as computer science "Licence" (B.Sc), "Maîtrise" & "Diplôme d'Études Approfondies " (M.Sc) from Paris VI University.

-Eventually I made my Ph.D. in electrical engineering at the Mc Gill University in Montreal (Canada). My thesis dissertation dealt with robust stochastic control of linear systems with heterogeneous delay structure (namely the non minimum phase and infinite state dimension issues).

For French speaking readers, here is the web page on machine learning by my good friend and philosopher (and daughter ;-) ) Natasha (it is one of her homeworks, but since it is a good introduction on my own Ph.D. thesis dissertation subject, I found it usefull to make it accessible)

Professional:

Presently, I work as a scientist at the Office National d'Études et Recherches Aérospatiales (ONERA) a sort of French equivalent of NASA, located south of Paris. My main research activity is in the field of synthetic aperture radars for remote sensing. Most of the algorithms I developped are available and described in the following pamela project web site.

I indulg(ed) in genetic science research in another life.

My previous position was that of a picture processing ant system control specialist in the picture processing department in ONERA, here are some earlier work as well as some more recent work related to synthetic apearture radars.
