Kerguelen Islands

Feral cat

Feral population of oilseed rape

Pinus sylvestris

RESEARCH INTERESTS

I am interested in processes of demography and dispersal of plant and animal populations, notably in the potential impact of man on these processes. I essentially work on mathematical modelling and on parameter estimation based on demographic, spatial and molecular field data.
During my phD, my model species was feral oilseed rape, in a context of environmental GM-risks assessment. My postdoc research is mainly centered on predator-prey systems, with the feral cat introduced in the Kerguelen Archipelago as predator and sea birds and introduced rabbits as preys. I also develop invasion models for the Pine (Pinus sylvestris) in collaboration with the CEFE in Montpellier.
